The Pillar that is there in Indian currency (the emblem of India) is the
Ashoka Pillar and the inscription at the bottom of it is "satyameva Jayate" or "truth alone triumphs"
Sanghamitta is Ashoka's daughter who became a buddhist and Ashoka was "The" Emperor with what history records as the largest empire with its capital in current day India.
